Villar met with local officials and mayors across the province in a dialogue focused on key community concerns, with agriculture and enterprise development emerging as core themes. She underscored the role of SMEs as the backbone of the Philippine economy—creating jobs, driving innovation, and empowering families.
“SMEs are the lifeblood of many communities. When we support small businesses, we are not just supporting entrepreneurs—we’re supporting livelihoods, dreams, and the future of our children,” Villar emphasized.
She also highlighted the need to strengthen agricultural support systems and improve access to quality education—both of which she says are critical pillars for rural progress and long-term resilience.
The dialogue was attended by key leaders in the province including Misamis Oriental First District Representative Christian Unabia, Gutalac Mayor Jessa Mugot, Balingasag Mayor Joshua Unabia, Initao Mayor Mercy Grace Acain, Salay Mayor Sonny Tan, Naawan Mayor Dennis Roa, Villanueva Mayor Bing Dumadag, Claveria Mayor Reynante Salvaleon, Talisayan Mayor Rico Taray, Binuangan Mayor Dann Isaiah Lusterio, Magsaysay Mayor Charlie Buhisan, Kinoguitan Mayor Ryan Pabellan, and Lagonglong Representative Jack Puertas.
“Thank you for sharing the advocacies of the province with me. Hindi ko po makakalimutan yan. And I can say that the advocacies of our family are very much alive. Makaaasa po kayo na hindi namin makakalimutan yan. Wherever I would go, babalik at babalik tayo sa Misamis Oriental,” Villar told local leaders.
The visit forms part of Villar’s listening tour across the country as she continues to engage with grassroots communities and understand their aspirations. With a platform rooted in empowerment and development, Camille Villar is positioning herself as a candidate who will champion inclusive growth in the halls of the Senate.
